Taylor Swift Weekend.

So this one time we went to see Taylor Swift for our anniversary. Wait that was this past weekend and it was epic. I have really yet to come up with a better way to describe it. It was a fantastic weekend spent in Toronto with the husband. It turned out to be one of those weekends where everything kind of just goes together nicely. Like we are able to do everything we wanted, there was no stress to make it to a certain place on time or rush to get things done.

We used hotwire to book our hotel which ended up being a good call. We got a great deal on what turned out to be a not great room. However the going rate for the same room on their website was over TWICE what we paid. So we were happy. That and we were really only there for one night and not in the hotel room for any long period of time so it turned out great that we were able to save some money.

We did a little shopping at Lululemon and 401 games (this game store is awesome! They have about one or two of any given game but have floor to ceiling of games all in alphabetical order. We are big game players here.) which were nicely right around the corner from the hotel. We sadly had to see a group of about 100 people naked on bikes on the streets of Toronto due to it being 'world naked bike day', it was traumatizing and I feel like it should be illegal. That day I learnt that there are some things you simply cannot unsee. We then had a fantastic dinner and walked to the concert.

On the note of everything went super smooth, we even ended up getting to the concert what I thought was an hour before, so we found a bench and people watched. The husband then suggested we head in to find out seats and buy the bracelets I wanted. I thought he was nuts as we still had 45 minutes. Turns out it didn't start at 7 as I had thought. Glad one of us was on top of things.

The opening acts for the concert were slow. They started good with a country guy I had never heard of Joel Crouse who I enjoyed. Followed by what we thought was a Justin Bieber wanna be Austin Mahone who I could not stand. Ed Sheeran brought up the rear. I was not a huge fan, but the husband liked him so that was good. We were even able to catch Ed Sheeran playing at the MMVAs on the street on our walk back to the hotel.

Once Miss Swift did take the stage it was fantastic. Fireworks, outfit changes, ballerinas and guys being lifted to the ceiling banging on some sort of drums, just to name a bit of the awesomeness. I LOVE Taylor Swift. I had been to a concert two years ago as my bachellorette party with my bridesmaids and I was actually shocked to see the differences in how much she has changed as a performer over such a short period of time. She was less awkward, hardly flipped her hair and gave up on some of her terrible dance moves. The set was a little less elaborate and sadly she did not fly (I was a really big fan of the flying), however the digital work on the backdrop was phenomenal! Like it made you actually think there were objects on stage for example a carousel at one point actually looked 3D.

Anyways, all in all a fantastic weekend with the trip home including an epic Ikea trip where we spent all of our hotel savings and wasted half the day. It was wonderful. We decided that we will certainly be going to another Taylor Swift concert and I kind of hope it will be how we will be able to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary.

Awesome game store.
Dinner on the patio.
I love this man. Who also LOVEd the concert (or so he says).
And it begins.
Out seats were awesome. Second row above the dug out.

And our seats got better as she moved to be about 30 feet away on a second stage.

Taylor had some awesome outfits.

This was my favourite outfit and while she did not fly this time, she did walk on the moving plate form stage.
And the night was capped off with an epic finally. Fireworks, confetti, men on stilts, the works.

Love her.
