So here is March.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowlings. - To me these books are classics. I love them and this time around I listened to them on audio book and I have never heard anyone read anything so wonderfully. There are voices and accents and I am in love with Jim Dale. If you drive a lot and want something wonderful, Harry Potter is a true gem. In the Order of the Phoenix I was reminded of plots that were not in the movies and how things had changed.
Take One by Karen Kingsbury- I personally did not want to read this book, but I knew that it needed to be read to fully understand the characters that I loved and I could not wait for the Bailey Flanagan series to begin, so I knew I needed to truck through it. I started reading it, feeling like the new characters were not fully developed, that the plot was there but it moved awkwardly and in some ways felt quickly written. I started listening to it on audio book a quarter of the way through and I was glad that I did listen to it. I feel more connected with some loved characters, that I will be able to better follow their story.
Take Two by Karen Kingsbury- The series has taken hold of me. I am in love as I figured I would be, however I am only in love with one part. I feel like the book is written about two different stories where they rarely interact or cross paths. The people do know each other and have common characters in each of their lives, which you know will lead to something, but thus far is not working for me. As a result of the two different story lines more then once when I had only enough time to read only one more chapter I would skip ahead to the part with the characters I love. This actually does not harm the story line, but it shows extreme favoritism and I am ok with that.
Take Three by Karen Kingsbury- It may have taken until book three of the series, but I have fallen in love with all of the characters. I finally feel like I love the story and everything about it. I am no longer trying to skip ahead, but I am enjoying it all. As a result of my new love of the books, I am again recommending this series to everyone and anyone.
